In our home, we talk a lot about the prepared environment, the idea that a space designed with intention creates the conditions for something real to grow there. Prepared House has been my attempt to bring that same intention to this newsletter. A place where the writing is slow, the reflections are honest, and the door is always open.

What you don't always see is what it takes to keep that door open.

The writing that lives here, the parenting moments, the fatherhood reflections, the quiet wisdom that shows up in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday, that work requires something that's increasingly hard to protect. Silence. Unhurriedness. The freedom to not know yet.

To ensure this work remains a steady presence for years to come, I've opened a Patreon as a support layer for what we're building here.

This isn't a transaction. It's an invitation to come a little closer.

Supporters get access to the more intimate side of this work — the reflections that aren't quite ready for the public page, the in-progress thinking, the smaller and more personal moments that don't fit a newsletter but belong somewhere. It's the interior of the house, if you want to come inside.

If Prepared House has felt like companionship on your own parenting journey, I'd be honored to have you at the table.
